How to fix the error QuickBooks - Application with Revoked Certificate

If you see the error QuickBooks - Application with Revoked Certificate when you try to sync QuickBooks with a third-party application don’t worry, we’ll help you fix it. This usually happens because the QuickBooks Web Connector digital certificate expired. Here’s what to do.

  1. Update all versions of QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
  2. Select the your version to download the QBWebConnector.exe. If you have more than one version installed select the download for the latest version
  1. Close all versions of QuickBooks completely.
  • Press CTRL, ALT and Delete on your keyboard at the same time.
  • Select Task Manager.
  • Make sure QBW.exe, QBW32.exe, and QBWebconnector.exe aren't running.
  1. Rename the QBWebConnector.exe:
  • 64 bit Windows - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\QBWebConnector\.
    1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
    2. Enter
  • 32 bit Windows - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\QuickBooks\QBWebConnector\QBWebConnector.exe.
  1. Rename the QBWebConnector.ese to OLD_QBQWebConnector.exe.
    1. Go to File and select Open New Window.
    2. Open Downloads then copy the QBWebConnector.exe you downloaded in step 2 to the folder you used in step 4.
    3. Next, Log into QuickBooks as your admin user. Make sure QuickBooks is in Single User mode. Run the Web Connector to sync. QuickBooks will prompt the integration certificate wizard to authorize the integration again. Please look for the following window below in QuickBooks.

  1. Choose the user you use with QuickBooks to run your web connector by clicking "Yes, Always, allow access even if QuickBooks is not runnig." Choose the user. Then check the box "Allow this application to access personal data." Click Continue and complete the authorization.
