- Sometimes QuickBooks becomes frozen if it has sat in idle too long or QuickBooks has just frozen up for any other reason. A quick method to fix is by opening Task Manager and ending the QuickBooks task. Right click on the Taskbar and click on Task Manager in the menu.
- Once Task Manager is open, you will see QuickBooks in the open apps list. Single left clicks on QuickBooks in the Task Manager list to highlight QuickBooks. Then in Task Manager click on the “end task” button to close it out. You can do the same for any app that is frozen.
- Once QuickBooks is closed, please launch QuickBooks and log back in to work.
- Another method to fix the freeze up is by clicking on the start menu icon on the bottom left corner of the remote desktop. Once the start menu is open, you will find the 0-Log Off button located at the top. Click this, and the remote session will log out and close out all frozen apps.
- Once logged off, log back into the Hosted Desktop and launch QuickBooks.
