RECUR360PAY - Authorize.net Token Migration Process

To begin a token migration from Authorize.net to RECUR360PAY, you must first have had your RECUR360PAY Merchant Account "Approved and Boarded" with a RECUR360PAY Merchant Identifier (MID).

After we have your RECUR360PAY MID connected to your RECUR360PAY account, we can create a Job ID request from VGS (Very Good Security) who will perform the migration of the secure tokens.

Before you can export tokens from Authorize.net, there are a few requirements that need to be met.

Requirements:

  • The cost for a data extraction is $250.00
  • Clients can only request 2 extractions in a rolling calendar year with 30 days between extractions. 
  • Clients must have at least 25 profiles in their account to request an extraction. 
  • The Client requesting the extraction MUST be listed on the Authorize.net Gateway as an Account Owner.
  • Authorize.net will not deliver the data to anyone other than the client. We do not send info to third parties. 
  • The Client MUST fill out the waiver and it needs to be signed by an officer of your company, VP or higher. 
  • Files can take 2-5 business days to be delivered after the extraction date.
  • Files are delivered to the Client through a Visa Secure email. (Note: the files will expire in 7 days from the date of delivery for security reasons). 
  • Reach out if the email expires, as soon as possible. They can only be re-sent for up to 30 days.
  • The Client is responsible for the decryption of the data. Authorize.net does not assist with the decryption process.
  • Please follow the steps on the waiver to submit the waiver and PGP Key back to us through a support case. You can attach it to this case.

Instructions: Requesting Tokens from Authorize.net

  • Reach out to Authorize.net support and request a Token Migration away from Authorize.net. 
  • Explain that you will be leaving Authorize.net and need your customer data for a new proprietaty system that has its own paymet processing.
  • You will need to fill out the following AuthorizeDataExtractionForm (Example Below)
    • Enter in your Authorize.net Payment Gateway ID and your company information
    • Select "I need my customer information for use with a third-party solution
      • Please Explain: Switching to a propietary platform with its own processing
    • Under "Data Extraction" you will select "CIM" and enter in the quantity of records in the Customer Information Manager (CIM) section of your Authorize.net. Otherwise enter All. Include todays date as the Requested Extraction Date.
    • Provide your email address and Sign at the bottom
  • You will need to provide the PGP Encryption key to their Data Migration specialist. This key will be used to encrypt and protect the file
  • Upload the AuthorizeDataExtractionForm and PGPKey.txt into your portal https://login.authorize.net/
  • Authorize.Net will assign a Data Migration specialist to assist with the process.

When completed, Authorize.net will then provide you a secure email to download the exported files. You will reply to the Job ID Email we provide you and attach those files. VGS will import them into the RECUR360PAY Gateway. From there RECUR360 will sync those tokens into RECUR360, link them back to the existing Customers and any Recurring Invoices.
